Succesful Low Carbon Vehicle Show
Following two very busy and successful business days the CENEX Low Carbon Vehicle exhibition 2012 has now come to a close for another year.
We had great pleasure meeting prospective and existing clients and discussing how Parkinson Harness are able to supply all types of vehicle harness, battery/HV leads and also complete systems to their specification, we even did business with our neighbouring exhibitors!
It was a great show to see new and emerging technology from wireless inductive vehicle charging, an array of wired charge points to hydrogen power cells. There was also a chance to take a run around the test track in some of the vehicles on show.
Thank you again for those that stopped at our booth; we look forward to continuing discussions with you.

Targeting Excellence in Cable and Wire Harness Manufacturing
We are continuing to roll out comprehensive training to our staff at all levels; we started with BITS courses and now reaffirming our excellent quality standard with a program of IPC/WHMA-A-620 accreditations throughout the workforce.
IPC/WHMA-A-620 is the first Worldwide industry approved standard for cable and wire harness fabrication and installation. Embarking on this program underpins established standards and emphasises our commitment to continuous product quality and reliability.
Our certified IPC instructor John Chapman will complete the initial training by the end of October 2012, issuing each member with a Certified Application Specialist award (CIS).

Successful B.I.T.S courses
Parkinson Harness Technology has been running a series of courses to
NVQ standard in Business improvement techniques. There are a number of
projects on going ranging from re-laying out of the shop floor to
setting up a dedicated training section.
“Trainees from the courses have found the tools and techniques gained to be invaluable when approaching new projects and situations in the work place” commented John Chapman (Production Manager) and “we will be continuing with the program for the coming months due to there success”.
David Earnshaw (Director) added “we have always trained our team to a high standard but the BITS courses have given the production sections ownership of meaningful projects, helping them on a daily basis and the business to be more competitive overall. All inall we are very pleased with the results”

Parkinson is the 'Plaice' to be on a sunny day...
Our
local radio station Lincs FM in conjunction with Lincolnshire County
Council ran a bike safety promotion during March and the Cycle Squad
visited PHT giving out cycle goodies such as lights and hi-viz rucksack
covers to help staff remain safe on the road.
What
we didn’t know was that as part of the promotion all companies visited
had their names put into a draw to win a meal out for 12 people – and we
won!! The money was put towards a lunch for the whole factory
and on a glorious sunny lunch time Wendy and Trevor Taylor from The
Lincolnshire Fryer (Wragby) supplied a wonderful Fish and Chip Lunch for
all 120+ members of staff... Thanks!
